🍊 TODAY, I DRANK ORANGE JUICE!

7 September 2026

Drinking orange juice may sounds like such a small thing.

But for me, it was a milestone.

Just over two years ago, when I became violently ill and kept throwing up — not knowing then that I was going through a bilateral cerebellar stroke — the last thing I drank was orange juice.

And it all came violently back up.

From that day, I couldn’t even think about orange juice without being taken back to that frightening time. The thought, smell or taste of it made me feel suddenly feel sick and nauseous.

It was almost like a PTSD trauma response — a powerful link between a trigger and a traumatic memory.

For two years, I avoided orange juice completely. Everytime I tried to drink it, I actually got scared, and so I left many glasses of orange juice almost untouched.

But today, something changed.

I told DC, “I feel like having orange juice!”

He simply said, “Go get one.”

So I did. ❤️

And here I am, enjoying my cup of freshly squeezed orange juice — and feeling super today!

It may seem like such a small thing to some, but to me, it was a reminder of how far I have come — from a very dark and painful place to a place of healing, freedom and new beginnings.

Sometimes healing comes quietly — in the smallest, most unexpected ways.

If you or someone you know has been through a traumatic experience, I hope this encourages you. Healing is possible. Step by step, we can move forward if we don't give up. Stay on the course of healing. Come and chat with me if you have some difficulties crossing the barrier or obstacles. I discovered that most are truly psychological, and you can have me to walk your journey with you.

Anyway, today orange juice reminded me just how far I have come, even if it took two years. 🍊❤️

We can move beyond what once held us.
