Influenza, Covid and Pneumonia. Keep a sharp eye on! šŸ‘ - Part 1

Hello EB Community!

Influenza, Covid and Pneumonia. Keep a sharp eye on! šŸ‘

Hope you all had a very wonderful and extended weekend!

I don’t want to be a party pooper but I seriously need to remind everyone that we are in the midst of a very early global flu season, and they do seem to be more potent then before.

But not only flu, Covid is still blazing and people are dying from pneumonia.

In fact, one of the biggest names who died last week of pneumonia was Diane Keaton and in Singapore a doctor who thought she just had the flu, died 4 days later. Several friends and clients I know, had to be hospitalised after suffering from Influenza A. So I am glad they have been discharged, on the mend and back to work.

So let’s not take these pesky illnesses too lightly but do our best to maintain hygiene and remember that our best defence is our innate immune system.

Sometimes, we cannot prevent the infection and onslaught of the disease and yes we can feel really dreadful. But the important thing is we must recover and get heal up - and that is where our innate immunity and recovery will save us.

So I thought this series of posts will be helpful to share a bit more about what these 3 things are.

Let start with our daily routine:

To protect yourself and loved ones, boost your immunity daily with good nutrition, rest, and supplements such as VigourCells, Pine Bark extract, Omega-3, and D3 + K2; wash hands regularly, avoid crowded places when unwell, and gargle nightly with natural antimicrobials like oil of oregano.

At the first sign of illness, rest, hydrate, and seek prompt medical attention — early action saves lives.

Do you know:

Influenza A, COVID-19 and pneumonia are different respiratory illnesses caused by different pathogens, though their symptoms can sometimes look similar.

Influenza A is caused by influenza viruses, which mutate frequently and can spread rapidly, especially in crowded or cold environments.

COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, a completely different virus that affects both the upper and lower respiratory tract and can trigger widespread inflammation and complications in other organs.

Pneumonia, on the other hand, is not one specific disease — it’s an infection of the lungs that can be caused by bacteria (like Streptococcus pneumoniae), viruses (including influenza and COVID-19), or even fungi.

So while they can overlap (for example, severe flu or COVID-19 can lead to viral or secondary bacterial pneumonia), they are not the same pathogen. All three can be serious or fatal if untreated, especially in older adults or people with weakened immunity — which is why prevention, early detection, and immune support are vital.

How they may kill?

My own father died from pneumonia when he was 83. So this illness is very close to my heart and I think we caught it too late cos we didn’t understand how serious his supposed ā€˜cold’ was.

But I hope not for anyone else if we can help it.

Just fyi:

Influenza, COVID-19, and pneumonia can kill because they attack the respiratory system, which supplies oxygen to every part of the body. When infection and inflammation become severe, the lungs fill with fluid and mucus, making it difficult for oxygen to pass into the bloodstream. Without enough oxygen, vital organs — like the heart, brain, and kidneys — begin to fail.

In addition, these infections can trigger a cytokine storm, an overreaction of the immune system that causes widespread inflammation and tissue damage. They can also lead to secondary bacterial infections, blood clots, or heart complications, especially in those with chronic illnesses or weak immunity.

In short, they can kill because they block oxygen, trigger massive inflammation, and overwhelm the body’s defenses — turning what starts as a simple infection into a life-threatening crisis.

So let’s do our best to take any of these fellas seriously and nip them quickly in the bud before they get a foothold and progress into something more serious.

Be diligent in taking your immune support supplements like VC and D3, gargle with oil of oregano, (or salt water), stay hydrated and sleep well. Don’t over-stress your body and do stop if you think it’s breaking.

Finally, please continue with your supplements if you get the flu or Covid. In fact make sure you take the full or even added doses. They can help the body and calms potential cytokine storms too.

Btw EB has some of the best supplements for cold and flus too. Just contact me or anyone of my staff and they can assist you.

I personally keep these stocks close to me at home and work.

Stay well everyone.

Lots of love,

Rosemary
