Trust Me

15/2/26

Don’t fight but surrender during a health crisis.

Can God be trusted when surrender can be costly?

This morning I went for Sunday worship service, and this song was sung and later the sermon was about how far would we go to trust God.

The words spoke deeply to me.

I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies.

I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief.

My weapon is a melody.

Heaven comes to fight for me.

That line stayed with me:

Heaven comes to fight for me.

And I was reminded — we do not have to fight to save ourselves.

I Speak From Personal Experience

I say this not as theory, but from lived experience.

When I had my stroke, I could not open my eyes.

I could not walk.

I lay in bed completely helpless for weeks. I never really knew what a stroke was, till I suffered bilateral cerebellar one myself.

In those moments, fear could have consumed me. But I realised something profound:

Fighting harder would not save me.

Panic would not heal me.

Anxiety would only exhaust my body.

So I surrendered.

I rested in God.

I prayed.

I trusted Him with my life.

And healing came — steadily, faithfully.

Today I stand fully recovered. I walk, I work, I live normally again. And I know this truth deeply:

Heaven fought for me.

Peace Is Not Weakness

When crisis strikes — whether a sudden accident, stroke, cancer, or any serious illness — our instinct is to tense up and fight. That’s what the world always tells us - fight, fight, fight.

I am not saying don’t do anything but rather be calm, be still, make your supplications known and surrender to the will of God, and truly trust Him. When we are calm, we also think more clearly too.

Why?

Just think of water.

If you fall into deep water and thrash, you sink.

If you relax and float, you rise.

Healing requires calm.

When we panic:

• Cortisol rises

• Blood pressure increases

• Oxidative stress builds up

• Inflammation worsens

Stress produces reactive oxygen species that damage cells and slow recovery.

But when we are calm:

• The parasympathetic nervous system activates

• The heart steadies

• Oxygen flows better

• The immune system works more effectively

Even medications work better in a body that is not flooded with stress.

Peace creates the right environment for healing.

Scripture says:

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

Stillness is not giving up.

It is trusting.

We seek treatment.

We follow wisdom.

We do what we must.

But we do not carry fear.

We raise a hallelujah.

We rest.

And we trust wholly in the power of God — who fights for us, sustains us, and heals us in His perfect way and time.

May you also find your rest and peace and receive the healing from God in accordance with His will and purpose.
