The Myth of Prevention - and the Reality of Readiness

One of the greatest myths we’ve come to believe is that with enough effort, discipline, or medical care, we can completely prevent illness - now raise your hands if you too believed this.
But the truth is—there’s no such thing as total prevention.
Not for sickness. Not for sudden death. Not even for something as well-studied as stroke or heart disease.
Despite doing all the right things—eating well, exercising, sleeping enough—some people still fall seriously ill. Some suffer heart attacks or strokes out of the blue. Others, with seemingly perfect health, collapse suddenly with no prior warning. It’s tragic, but it’s also a reality we must face.
What causes these life-threatening events?
Most sudden deaths are caused by events like:
• Cardiac arrest or heart attack (due to blocked arteries or electrical dysfunction),
• Stroke (often from blood clots or hemorrhage),
• Pulmonary embolism (blood clots to the lungs),
• Aneurysm rupture (a burst artery), or
• Massive organ failure.
Underlying many of these is something far more silent and insidious: oxidative stress and free radical damage.
Every breath we take, every bite we eat, every moment of stress creates free radicals—unstable molecules that damage our cells, blood vessels, DNA, and even our mitochondria. When the body cannot neutralize these free radicals effectively, damage accumulates. It weakens the arteries, disrupts energy flow, promotes inflammation, and creates the perfect storm for disease. In moments of crisis, this can lead to catastrophic failure—stroke, heart attack, or sudden death.
This is why I believe the conversation must shift—from “how can I prevent illness?” to “how can I prepare my body to survive it?”

My Personal Story: Prepared to Survive
When I had my stroke, I didn’t know it was a cerebellar stroke until days later. I had no paralysis or chest pain. Just an overwhelming sense of dizziness, nausea, and imbalance. I was hospitalized, scanned, and initially misdiagnosed. Yet something in my body held on, healed, and responded with surprising speed and strength.
I truly believe that’s because my body was prepared.
For over 17 years, I have faithfully taken a specific blend of network antioxidants, which I later formulated into VigourCells - a premium antioxidant complex based on the pioneering research of Dr. Lester Packer, a world leader in antioxidant science.
Dr. Packer discovered that antioxidants like gluthathione, vitamin C, vitamin E (especially tocotrienols), CoQ10, and alpha-lipoic acid are far more effective when taken together. They form a regenerative network, where each one restores and recycles the others. This synergy gives the body constant protection from oxidative stress.
But there’s more.
One of the most powerful antioxidants in the body is glutathione, which our liver produces naturally.
When we take alpha-lipoic acid, one of the key components in VigourCells, we stimulate our liver’s natural production of glutathione. This means that with VigourCells, we not only receive four of the five key antioxidants—we also activate the production of the fifth: glutathione.
Together, they form what Dr. Packer called the Network Antioxidants:
1. Vitamin C
2. Vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols)
3. Coenzyme Q10
4. Alpha-lipoic acid
5. Glutathione (produced naturally in the body)
I also included in the formula:
• Methylated B vitamins to support brain function, detoxification, and energy,
• Magnesium and selenium for cardiovascular and immune health,
• Inulin, a natural prebiotic to support blood sugar control and gut health.
This is why I take VigourCells faithfully, diligently, daily.
Not just as a supplement—but as a strategy. A lifestyle. A quiet, consistent way of giving my body the edge it needs to face the unexpected.
So when crisis came, I had reserves. I had resilience. And I had the grace of God guiding my recovery.

You Can’t Control Everything—But You Can Strengthen Your Defense
Too often, we fixate on numbers—blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure—as if staying within range guarantees safety. But many people who suffer from sudden death had “perfect” numbers. Health is not just about what can be measured on a chart—it’s about what is going on deep inside our cells.
The key is not just prevention—it’s preparation.
Just like a well-stocked emergency room can save lives in a crisis, a well-nourished, antioxidant-rich body can withstand more damage and recover faster. That’s the principle behind resilience medicine—preparing the body to survive the worst, not just avoid it.
That’s why I’ve made it my mission to teach others what I’ve learned the hard way:
We may not control the storm, but we can strengthen the vessel.

Final Thoughts: Faith and Wisdom Walk Hand in Hand
As I look back on the past year, I’m filled with gratitude—for my life, for my healing, and for the ability to share this journey with others.
I’ve come to believe that healing is not just about medicine. It’s about a partnership between:
• God’s grace
• Our daily choices
• And the inner wisdom of our bodies, when supported with the right tools, especially that regeneration is real.
So no, there is no such thing as total prevention.
But there is such a thing as total commitment to life—to readiness, strength, and the discipline of daily nourishment.
We prepare—not in fear, but in faith.
We live—not just to avoid illness, but to be resilient if it comes.
And we choose—not just supplements, but a mindset of strength before crisis.
Let’s stay one step ahead.
Let’s live with faith, resilience, and the power of daily preparation.

May God grant us wisdom to live a long and happy life.
