This is the first time I am writing and sharing about my beloved Mummy since she passed away on 30th May 2019. The pain of losing her was too deep, too overwhelming for me to even speak of her memory. But now, almost six years later, I feel I am finally ready. Ready to remember, to honour, and to share the love and wisdom that shaped not just my life, but the lives of so many others.

Introduction
Every year, Mother’s Day holds deep meaning for me. It is not just a time to remember and honour my beloved Mummy, but also to reflect on how her quiet strength and encouragement gave birth to Elixir Botanica. Without her gentle push, I would never have taken my journey of discovery and turned it into a mission to help others. I share this personal letter to her, with love and gratitude, in the hope that it inspires others to cherish the people who believe in us even when we cannot yet believe in ourselves.

A Letter to My Mummy, for Mother’s Day
Dear Mummy,
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. Today, on Mother’s Day, I want to honour you with the words I never got to say enough when you were here.
I first read about the science of network antioxidants in 2005, but it wasn’t until 2007—after Papa suffered his second stroke after a heart attack, and had three stents put in—that I finally managed to get hold of the product. He was so sick, the doctors told us he wouldn’t live much longer and he would lose his mind and memory. I remember the fear, the helplessness. But by God’s grace, the supplements helped Papa recover and regained his most if not all mental capability, alertness and wellness, and gave us ten more precious years together as a family—years where he even got to be at the wedding of his beloved first grandchild , Denise and got to play and nurture his youngest grandson Jeremy.
You stood by me through every step. You saw what I could not. You were the one who gently said to me, “Go share this with others. Don’t keep this just for us.” - this was a year after Papa got better.
I remember so clearly what I told you then: “Mummy, I am a scientist, not a businesswoman. I don’t know how to start a business.” You just smiled with that quiet confidence of yours and said, “You’ll figure it out. Just help people. That’s all that matters. Many will be grateful too.”
And so I sought God for wisdom and I did. Slowly, with fear and uncertainty at first. But always with your encouragement and belief carrying me forward. Even when you faced your own battle with breast cancer in 2008, you stayed strong. You told me to keep going, to keep helping others.

Papa left us in 2017 at the age of 83, and you in 2019 at the age of 86, just over a year after VigourCells was launched. I wish you had lived to see how many people have been helped since.
And then, Mummy, I faced my own darkest hour. In June 2024, I suffered a severe bilateral cerebellar stroke—one that should have taken my life, as it has for so many others. But somehow, against all odds, I survived and recovered. I truly believe the years of taking network antioxidants saved me too. I never expected the very thing that gave life to Papa and supported you would one day save me.
Without you, none of this would have happened. Your vision, your strength, and your unwavering love became the foundation of my life’s purpose.
Mummy, in the past 18 years, I believe I’ve helped at least a thousand people live longer, healthier lives. I make it a point to reach out and share more about the goodness of network antioxidants—now known as VigourCells—especially during Mother’s Day, as a remembrance of what you once told me: help more people.
Thank you, Mummy, for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for giving me the courage to turn my pain into purpose. You are missed every single day, but your love and legacy live on through every life touched by this journey you set me on.
